Venko was engaged to enhance the shared gym and laundry amenities at Yugo University Square in Carlton, creating spaces that better support student wellbeing. The project focused on maximising the functionality of the existing ground floor to provide incorporate the new gym facility and replanning of the existing laundry.
The light filled gym accommodates a diverse range of training styles, with dedicated zones for strength equipment, free weights, cardio, yoga, functional training and recovery. Sports flooring, mirrored walls and an efficient layout create a high performing fitness environment that remains consistent with the semi-industrial character of the broader student accommodation. The adjacent laundromat facility was redesigned to accommodate the gym & ensure students have access a practical and convenient shared amenity.
