The Therapeutic Recovery program provides an alternative outcome for people facing a sentence of imprisonment associated with Drug and Alcohol abuse.
We sought to create a counterbalance to the clinical and intensive nature of the facility’s urinalysis, testing, interview & programme rooms. Our design uses a soft green palette set against natural timber finishes and successfully creates a sense of calm that has been commented on by both facility clients & employees. Capitalising on the flood of natural light, a gum leaf motif glazing film has been used on external windows providing both a warm glow & visual privacy in the Centre. Venko’s design ethos focuses on the intent of the program – one of care, support and recovery.
