The fit out included a telecoms lab, a Certified PC2 Microbiological laboratory and a Micro-Nano Fabrication Room which included working areas for a probe station, optical table and fume cupboard that required isolated works associated to the installation of the specialised equipment. Our solution embedded a variety of design features & provisions in the spatial planning to enable the department to be flexible to change & future ready.
Venko helped facilitate the relocation of the College of Engineering and Science department to a new ‘future-proofed’ environment at the Footscray campus. Consulting with the Victoria University Research Infrastructure & Biosafety Team stakeholders, our briefing process ensured our design for teaching space aligned with the ongoing ‘Campus Masterplan’.
