SPRING ST FULLRES

1 Spring Street is a success story for our team in stakeholder management. Establishing a common goal eased the way for the multiple stakeholders to make collective decisions efficiently and effectively. ‘It is our responsibility to consolidate their inputs into a cohesive outcome that is a result of their collective voice.’ Lili Grlj, Associate, Venko.

The modernisation of three floors in the iconic heritage listed 1 Spring Street called for a design solution that demonstrates respect for the building architecture. Venko created an interior environment that celebrates and accentuates the building form. Working with 5 different Victorian Government agencies to create shared facilities was a challenge we met with enthusiasm.

Meeting rooms in the Conference Centre fan out from the circular heritage lightwell giving access to natural light creating a central hub. Informal meeting spaces mirror the organic, sweeping curves of the building interior. An expansive breakout hub on level 3 delivers on multiple functions for town hall gatherings and smaller informal meeting zones. Several wellness zones have been incorporated accommodating yoga, meditation & ‘unplugged’ spaces.
